Originally from Uttoexeter, “just up the road from Alton Towers, one of the UK’s biggest theme parks,” Sarah fell in love with Spain on an exchange trip to Granada when she 14. It was at that moment that her future was decided. She studied a degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, packed her bags and headed off to Huelva (via Lanzarote) where she has lived for the past 21 years. “I love teaching,” she says, “especially the variety of working with all ages. In the same afternoon I’m dancing the Hokey Cokey with 4 year olds, discussing the latest mobile phones with teenagers or putting the world right with adults. My classes seem to fly by and I never get bored.”

Procedente de Uttoxeter, “a tiro de piedra de Alton Towers” (uno de los parques de atracciones más grande del Reino Unido) Sarah se enamoró de España a los 14 años durante un intercambio en Granada. Desde entonces, su futuro le pareció claro. Estudió la carrera de Enseñanza de Inglés como Lengua Extranjera, hizo las maletas y se marchó rumbo a Huelva (con una breve parada en Lanzarote), donde ha vivido los últimos 21 años. “Me encanta dar clases,” afirma, “sobre todo la variedad que supone trabajar con todos las edades. Durante la misma tarde me pongo a bailar los canciones infantiles con los más pequeños, a discutir lo último en móviles con los adolescentes o a intentar arreglar el mundo con los adultos. Las clases se pasan volando, nunca me aburro.”
