Colin [Huelva Centre]
Colin comes from Bristol, and grew up in a large family (7!). His mother is British and his father is from Madeira. He was inspired to teach by his father, a Portuguese teacher, and obtained his Trinity TESOL certificate in 2003. Soon after, he started his first language teaching job at a summer school in Bristol, and enjoyed this so much that he returned 10 years consecutively. He has worked in Portugal, Brazil and most recently Spain. “I love teaching English as it gives me great joy to help others and at the same time I get to learn a lot from my students.” Now, with three years at Hello, it seems he is here to stay and has just bought a flat. As for his free time, “I enjoy films, series, travelling and sport. My favourite sport is badminton and my favourite type of film is sci-fi.”

Colin nació en Bristol, en el suroeste de Inglaterra, donde creció en una familia grande (¡7!). Mientras su madre es británica, su padre es nativo de Madeira, y siendo profesor de lengua portuguesa, sirvió de inspiración en su carrera profesional. Colin consiguió su certificado como profesor de lengua inglesa en el 2003, y pronto encontró empleo con una escuela de verano para extranjeros en el mismo Bristol, experiencia que le gustó tanto que repitió los 10 años siguientes. Ha trabajado en Portugal, Brasil y más recientemente España. “Me encanta dar clases de inglés porque me da un gran placer ayudar a los demás y al mismo tiempo aprendo mucho de mis alumnos.” Tras cuatro años en Hello, parece que ha decidido quedarse y acaba de comprarse un piso. Sobre su tiempo libre, “me gustan las películas, las series, viajar y el deporte. Mi deporte preferido es el bádminton y el género que más me gusta en cuanto a las películas es el de ciencia-ficción.”
